CVT in a Kymco People 150 Motorscooter. The variator to the left, the clutch to the right. Watch the belt, you can see how the variator pulley gets larger forcing the rear pulley to get smaller. Notice that the clutch bell continues to spin with the output shaft and rear wheel, the clutch itself stops spinning with the rear pulley. Weighted rollers in the variator determine fast the font pulley halves come together (get larger) and therefor how the scooter accelerates.
